This place is almost perfect! The menu is varied, the taste of the food is great, it is the typical combination of a foodie's paradise with mama's kitchen. It is not glamorous, the ambiance is not sophisticated, but it gives you much more than just any other local restaurant would. The prices are reasonable and the dishes are perfectly portion and one for regular meal. One of my favorite dishes there is the shrimp stuffed avocado. The menu does change though so you may not find it every time you go, but the service is decent, and the food is worth the trip. It is located in a very nice setting also, although there's no outside seating you're right across from a historical children's playground that borders the sound. It is one of my favorite places to eat in Northport Village.
Great menu, it has something for everyone, super wine and beer selection, good food and comfortable surroundings. Great place to go when everyone wants something different. Very good staff that sometimes has to work in a very crowded workplace! Across from Village park.
Ritz is a great local pub/restaurant overlooking Northport Harbor and was recommended for lunch by a local shopkeeper.
Clean, friendly atmosphere. Very nice bar also if you are waiting for a table or just want to stop in for a drink. There are a wide selection of menu items to suit anyone's taste. There are also 10 dollar lunch specials. I enjoyed the linguini with white clam sauce, from the 10 dollar lunch menu, and it was simply delicious. My wife enjoyed the grilled chicken on focaccia bread, another good choice. Our apple pie dessert was delicious and the coffee was hot and fresh.
I've walked by Ritz many times and never noticed it. I am happy it was recommended to us and will certainly return. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by, you will be glad you did just as I was!
We are locals and have been to every place in northport except for this one. We have never found the food in town to be so great other than Bistro. So sorry it took us so long to dine here. It's now #1 on our list. We were a party of 4 and we were all thrilled with our food, atmosphere and the service. They gave us warm bread with roasted garlic and a great dip when we sat down. We were all starving so this was perfect. Those little touches go a long way. We also happen to notice a patron who was drinking quite heavily at the bar and we were relieved when we noticed a gentleman (could have been the owner) escort her out to a cab. We were relieved to see she wasn't driving and it showed us it's a real neighborhood place where people are looking out for each other. The gentleman also came over to our table when we were dining and asked if everything was OK. Very rarely do you so see that happen. We will be returning very soon!
Ritz Cafe is a lovely restaurant overlooking Northport harbor and Cow harbor park. I would say it has a classy casual touch frequented by many middle aged locals. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. It's been about 4 years since we ate dinner here and I remember having an enjoyable time. We came on a Sunday evening and were very lucky to be seated at the last table for two that was at the window. I will warn you that the seats by the window are very tight and you will get a bump or two but watching the sun set tonight was worth it...
Nice neighborhood hangout at 11 am on a Sunday morning when we were starving and trying to impress my daughter who was visiting from NYC. I had the sesame crusted ahi tuna without the bun or wasabi sauce. I'm a healthy freak. Daughter had the eggs with salmon and buffed bf had the poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on the side. I'm rubbing off on him after 7 years. Lol Service was good and prices were reasonable considering he paid. Lol. I probably would come here all the time if I lived in Northport.
